Refuge For Daddy’s Girls

The main thrust of this text has to do with God’s holiness as it relates to food offered that has been made holy. However, what else is implied in this verse?

“But if a priest’s daughter is widowed or divorced and has no child and returns to her father’s house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s food; yet no lay person shall eat of it.” – Leviticus 22:13

If I am still living and my daughters are widowed or deserted without children to care for them, then the responsibility of caring for their needs falls back on me. Daughters are precious and are to be protected and provided for.

Therefore, don’t waste your savings in old age; they may still yet have a greater purpose before your days expire.

Whatever good by God’s grace you may have done in the past does not justify the evil actions your sinful heart has committed today.

“But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.” – Ezekiel 18:24
